The UNHCR Innovation Incubate helps colleagues, refugees, and partners co-design and test new ideas that strengthen protection and inclusion.
Our innovation funds
The UNHCR Innovation Incubator operates through four thematic funds that support innovation across UNHCR and its partners. Each fund focuses on a key area of humanitarian action and offers tailored support to help ideas grow from concept to impact.
Three funds â Digital Innovation, Data Innovation, and Environment & Climate Action Innovation â are open to UNHCR staff.
The Refugee-Led Innovation Fund is open to all organizations led by forcibly displaced and/or stateless people.

What we offer
Beyond funding, the Incubator provides innovators with mentorship, learning, and technical support to strengthen their ideas and drive real-world impact. Each selected team or organization receives:
Seed funding to design and test solutions
Mentorship from innovation and sector experts.
Technical guidance on design, prototyping, and evaluation.
Peer learning through a global network of innovators.
